Laravel ships using the de-facto PHP Package management program, "composer" which means that we can find problems with out-dated packages across a whole project with a single check. And then we can update to the new version using a single command.

The process would then be to check the changes that come in don't break the website which we do with automated test suites.

Then the new versions of the packages can go live.
