Overlap with your 9–5
Our working day ( your time) finishes before yours starts, so there's no point in the day when we're both at our desks. For most day-to-day development that makes us a poor fit, and we'd rather tell you that now.
Where we do suit you is if you want someone working while you're asleep: overnight cover, keeping an eye on systems out of your hours, running deployments and maintenance away from your peak traffic, or clearing a backlog that's waiting for you in the morning. If that's what you're after, get in touch.
A time difference is only a problem if work stalls waiting for answers. We write things down - in tickets, pull requests and short daily updates - so that nothing depends on catching each other live. When a live conversation does help, there's a regular window for it.

Monday to Friday. The UK and US change their clocks on different dates, so for a couple of weeks in March and around the end of October our hours are an hour earlier for you. We're closed on UK bank holidays, and we'll tell you about those well in advance.
On the West Coast, in Alaska and in Hawaii our day ends before yours begins, so there's no live handover. Unless you're specifically looking for someone to work while you're asleep - overnight cover, out-of-hours maintenance and deployments, or work waiting for you in the morning - we're probably not the best fit.
Senior developers in the US are expensive, and agencies add account managers and overheads on top. With us you get two developers with over 20 years' experience each, at UK rates, with nothing in between you and the people writing your code.

We charge in pounds sterling. Dollar figures are approximate, at around $1.35 to the pound (November 2026); what you pay will depend on the exchange rate on the day.
That's for senior developers who have worked on everything from small business websites to ecommerce platforms turning over £40M a year. It's comparable to - or below - what you'd pay a senior US freelancer directly, and well below US agency rates, without the agency layers in between.
