Online 4 Baby Limited of Oldham, Manchester have asked Artumi Systems to create
an eCommerce system which can deal with all aspects of their eBay Business. They sell
baby products on eBay and plan to expand by opening their own website. Having multiple sales
routes brings about complications when it comes to stock control. Their quick growth also
means existing systems are near breaking point. The new system involves segregating staff responsibilities into
well defined roles, which will allow delegation of tasks that had before only been manageable
by Directors for security reasons.
There are several important aspects to this project.
- Stock control
- eBay listing management
- Customer relationship management functions
- Separate eCommerce site
- Integration with Credit Card gateway
- Server maintenance
- Integration with post code checking service
- Workflow, so that procedures can be formalised in the system
- Integration with courier software to automate label printing
- Integration with Pay Pal for those customers who prefer to pay with that method
- Transaction information sent to Sage
As you can appreciate, the list is quite extensive, it is also, not yet, a completed project, we are aiming to be up and ready for February 2007.
