BidALoad Ltd have launched a service based on the fact that 1/3 of trucks on Britain's roads are travelling empty. Their service is about connecting goods with Hauliers in order to produce efficiencies throughout the country's road transport system. Artumi Systems were called in by QR8 and Metrea to provide all the programming support to make the site a reality.

BidALoad required a reverse auction process whereby the Buyer of Goods advertises that he is requiring services. The bidder who offers their services for the lowest price wins the auction, and will be paid by the Buyer for his services. This process is a little backwards for those used to eBay but it is becoming more common in the commercial world and reverse auctions are a by-word for efficiency and cost savings gains.
