New projects

Tuesday, September 11th, 2007

Artumi has been chosen to build the new Sheffield Hallam and University of Sheffield UniWorks website in partnership with the web design company QR8. The website provides information to potential students to help them choose their course.

The current site is not user friendly enough, with a lot of the information too hidden away, and it does not follow the web accessibility guidelines well enough.

We look forward to providing another top notch solution on time and on budget.

New projects

Artumi Systems has been asked to provide new systems for 2 companies by QR8 who are a design company based in Sheffield.

We have been asked to produce a content management system for Nikken Kosakusho, who require a website that can be translated into many languages, which makes this a rather special project.

The other project is the development of a special auction style website. We will write about this after completion, since the concept is going to be kept under wraps until the site goes live.

We are delighted that we have been asked to work with such a premier design company and look forward to future work with them.

Artumi Systems is pleased to announce that we have completed another website for one of our customers.

We were approached by a Counselling service based in Holmfirth in West Yorkshire. The site was built using HTML and some basic PHP. It is a basic brochure site.

Short links website.

Wednesday, December 6th, 2006

Artumi Systems has written a replacement for tinyurl.com. It’s mentioned in other parts of the site, but I thought I would mark it’s existence in the blog. It is a simple application whose purpose is to turn long URLs into short ones which are suitable for reading out over the phone, or placing in an email.

There are a number of advantages of using this over using tinyurl.com.

  • The domain is your own, and therefore looks better
  • The links can be set up to report how many times it has been viewed. That means that you can send a link to someone and find out if they bothered to click it.
  • It is free of adverts
  • The URLs are more suited to being read out over the phone, compared to the URLs produced by tinyurl.com, as letters such as “b” and “p” do not appear in the short URL.

Like tinyurl.com our short links website is free for anyone to use.

Enjoy!

We are proud to announce that we have a new product, Atemis. Artumi's total eBay management system. Vist the site.
